Since 2014, we’ve worked with Weston Table to define every expression and evolution of their brand, ensuring their interactive marketplace of ten thousand products serves as an environment where customers can shop the way we all aspire to live: with intention, meaning, and heart.

 
 
 
 

When it comes to setting standards, Weston Table is a powerhouse. They push limits and aim high, so we weren’t surprised when they approached us last year with the dual task of refreshing their brand to expand their audience while bolstering their e-commerce capabilities with a new Shopify website.

WT’s promise of the everyday extraordinary calls for just that: this needed to be an online experience unlike any other, and we knew that an elevated brand aesthetic was the place to begin.

The updated visual brand honors the New England old world charm inherent to WT’s curated collections, with typefaces that reference traditional letterforms, over one hundred twenty pen and ink illustrations inspired by 19th-century commercial engravings, and a subtle, refined color palette that speaks to the elegant antique. Used in fresh ways, the weightiness of luxe nostalgia is balanced with whitespace and air, simple lockups, and an unlayered, piece-by-piece application to give every element its own, more modern moment.

Our design for the new interactive market experience took cues from the refreshed brand world, marrying the traditional and established with the contemporary, artisan, and one-of-a-kind. Focused on open space, consistency, and dynamic modularity, the new custom site is like a table well-set, with WT’s gorgeous lifestyle photography as the centerpiece. Content comes forward as the brand maintains just enough presence to offer a soft landing and the kind of hospitality to make you want to stay awhile—and shop.

With design established, we chose the Shopify Plus platform to bring the entire interactive experience to life. Complete with custom, easy-to-update editorial areas for recipes, travel, lifestyle inspiration and more, wedding and gift registries, immersive storytelling capabilities, and a comprehensive, filterable e-commerce market, the end result is a site set to take WT’s customers to the moon and back, though we think Massachusetts would be just as lovely.
